Finlay Carson, MSP for Galloway and West Dumfries, has today welcomed the Chancellor’s fuel duty freeze.
In his budget, Chancellor Philip Hammond, announced a freeze on fuel duty for an eighth successive year.
Commenting, Galloway and West Dumfries MSP Finlay Carson said:
“This will be welcomed news by motorists across Scotland, especially in our rural constituency of Galloway and West Dumfries.
“This is the eighth successive year the fuel duty has been frozen and shows a commitment by the UK Government to tackling issues around the price of fuel.
“In many ways we pay a premium for living in a rural area, and the cost of fuel is a major weekly cost for businesses and individuals - I welcome today’s freeze!”
