Finlay Carson supports Cervical Cancer Prevention Week

Galloway and West Dumfries MSP, Finlay Carson is supporting Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust’s call for action to increase cervical screening uptake rates.  Cervical screening uptake is now at a 10-year low in Scotland, and more women each year are being diagnosed with cervical cancer.

Carson Calls for Universal Trigger

 

 

Finlay Carson MSP has called on broadband service suppliers to introduce a universal trigger so that problems at local exchanges are identified without numerous customers having to contact their supplier and report the same fault.

The Galloway and West Dumfries MSP contacted BT to propose this mechanism after noticing a trend in the amount of people who were contacting him to report problems with their broadband connections.

Galloway and West Dumfries MSP Finlay Carson today urged action on ‘long overdue’ improvements to the A75.

Attending the Scottish Parliament Public Petitions Committee today Finlay raised a number of concerns over the lack of action from Transport Scotland on improvements to the vital route between Gretna and Stranraer.
