Galloway and West Dumfries MSP Finlay Carson has praised the upcoming opening of a farm park in his constituency.
The Scottish Conservative and Unionist MSP met with David McMikan, the driving force behind the project at the Ernespie Farm site, on the outskirts of Castle Douglas.
Mr Carson was pleased to get an update on how works are progressing, with the farm park set to open in May.
He believes that the farm park will attract a significant number of visitors, boosting the local economy and providing new job opportunities.
Commenting Finlay Carson MSP said: “This was a really positive visit to Ernespie Farm, where plans are rapidly progressing ahead of the opening in May.
“With plans for a play area, a café, shop and an outdoor education centre, there is going to be a host of activities to do at the site, which will be sure to attract visitors.
“I was impressed by David’s ambitious plans for the site which will help to create new job opportunities for the region.
“I am looking forward to paying a visit to Ernespie Farm once it is opened in May!”
