The 20th of November marks COPD day, where we recognise the affects of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. I took this opportunity to give a speech in parliament, where I discussed the symptoms of COPD and potential ways that the disease can be treated. I also addressed Stranraer, where there are far higher rates of COPD day than average and now has the unenviable nickname of The COPD Capital of the UK. On days like this, it is important that we raise awareness and promote crucial research in battling the disease.
