It was an honour for the Rural Affairs and Islands Committee to receive the Powering Change Award at the Holyrood Daily Scottish Political Awards! Balancing competing interests in rural life has been a mainstay for this committee and this year we handled thorny issues relating to agriculture, including post-Brexit funding arrangements, and the passage of the Agriculture and Rural Communities Bill.
